Top quality free music. Lovely cosy interior. A musical oasis in a desert of skyscrapers! Lovely atmosphere and customers. Friendly helpful bar staff. The wallpapers great too! Love guessing the musicians depicted!

If this pub isn't grade 1 listed, then it should be. Possibly the best preserved pub in Leeds (and the Garden Gate in Hunslet). Excellent beer and friendly staff and clientele. Live music most nights make a visit well worthwhile.

Can't recommend this place enough for celebrations. Mr Algars 40th was fantastic. Full outdoor AND indoor DJ/live music set-up all day. Fresh pizzas from the outdoor oven plus BBQ burgers & sausages.
